ACMC Wound Healing Center
Back To SpecialtiesPatients with non-healing and chronic wounds will have an option for care on the Ashtabula County Medical Center campus. The new ACMC Wound Healing Center opened in June 2009 and focuses on treating chronic wounds caused by diabetes, poor circulation or infection. From an initial assessment through creating an individualized treatment plan, the center’s staff uses sophisticated equipment and techniques to deliver quality care. Center patients with non-healing wounds have access to specialized physicians including general and plastic surgeons, family practice physicians, internal medicine physicians, and podiatrists. In addition to a vascular laboratory, radiology services and other onsite diagnostic studies, the center also offers a comprehensive hyperbaric medicine program. This non-invasive oxygen therapy may be used to treat a variety of medical conditions including:

Other non-healing wounds that the center is able to address include: · Arterial ulcers · Pressure ulcers · Venous stasis ulcers · Trauma wounds/crash injuries · Compromised skin grafts and flaps · Problem surgical wounds
